Web 2.0 Training Testimony
This is All About Two Days of Web 2.0 and Social Media Training
Date of the workshop: 25-29/02/2016
Venue: Simad University Main Campus
Facilitators: Ustad Mohamed Hassan and Ustad Mohamed Musse
Participants: 26 participants from Simad staff, Students and External.
Materials distributed: Folders, hard copies and presentations on CD.
1- Opening
1- Day 1 Training Sessions
The second presentation made by Mohamed Musse and it is all talks about how to upload file and folders on google drive and google docs.
The third presentation was made by him and it talked about some issues related to the how you can develop and create your own wiki pages on google. He introduced us the concepts of how to develop questionnaire on google docs and to share your friends easily, the amazing point we admired was that we can connect on it and we can edit all of us at a same time.
The Session closed with a inclusive assignments on developing Questionnaire on google and creating wiki pages.
1-1 Lessons Learnt
- How to share huge files to our friends , coworkers and students.
- That google drive allows us to open multiple files
- To search easily
- That Wikis are an effective way to students
3- Day 2 Training Sessions
The first session
started with a presentation by Mohamed Muse on internet Conversation and how to broadcast events LIVE on YouTube for free. He gave an generous explanation of the broadcasting on air, video conferencing.
The second session was presented by Mohamed Hassan and explained how to Establish personal brand using Blogger and how to take, edit, and layout images using #picasa.
2-1 Lessons Learnt
- That there is free software to edit our images
- To share images online through Picasa
- How to create personal blog
- Adding posts on blogs although it is time consuming.
